Brand Identity, Apparel & Visual Storytelling
Designing clarity, courage, and consistency for ideas that matter
Project Overview
Threads of Resistance is an independent brand project that translates civic ideas into clear, wearable design. Inspired by themes from On Tyranny, the project explores how language, typography, and visual restraint can communicate complex ideas without noise, spectacle, or gimmickry.
The goal was not to shout, but to hold attention — creating a brand system that feels intentional, legible, and durable across apparel, posters, and digital touchpoints.

The Approach
I approached Threads of Resistance as a brand system problem, not a collection of one-off designs.
Key decisions included:
-
A restrained typographic palette to keep language front and center
-
Limited, intentional color usage to reinforce seriousness and clarity
-
Consistent hierarchy and spacing to support readability and recognition
-
Repetition as a feature, not a flaw — allowing ideas to gain strength through consistency
Every design choice was made to support the message without competing with it.
Why This Project Matters
Threads of Resistance reflects my broader approach to creative direction:
designing systems that balance clarity, personality, and responsibility.
Whether applied to civic ideas, editorial content, or commercial brands, the same principle holds true — confusion erodes trust; clarity builds it.
